What is The Great Awakening?

In the monomyth, the hero begins in the ordinary world, and receives a call to enter an unknown world of strange powers and events. If the hero accepts the call to enter this strange world, the hero must face tasks and trials, either alone or with assistance.

At its most intense, the hero must survive a severe challenge, often with help earned along the journey. This is where he would encounter a protective figure (often elderly) who provides him with some magic weapons and wise advice for the adventure ahead. For instance, in Greek Mythology, Ariadne gives Theseus a ball of string and a sword before he enters the labyrinth to confront the minotaur.

If the hero survives, the hero may then liberate the princess and lay his hands on the treasure, returning home with victory.

The Great Awakening refers to the awakening of the innate and unlimited power in you. It is as though you and I both possess an Aladdin Lamp. Thus, the day when you realize the power you have in you, the genie you have under your command, life will never be the same again.

How meaningful is your life now? Have you realized your inner calling? Do you consider your life significant or successful?

The only way to live a life of significance (commission) is to first know what a significant life entails. And the key to success is to unlock and discover your 5 “IONS”.

Passion : What is it that you truly love doing in your life, regardless if you are paid to do it? Unless you have found and are living your passion, your life is far from being successful!

Mission: Your life’s mission statement will fill you with enthusiasm and the passion will propel you towards success. What is it that you are prepared to give in order to receive what you have asked for?

Vision : What can you see, hear, and feel yourself doing in 10 years’ time, 5 years’ time etc? As the scripture states, “Without vision, the people perish!”

(To Learn)

Action : Now it’s a time for us to walk our talk, and begin taking consistent actions towards achieving our goals. Action speaks louder than words.

(To Live)

Intention: To harness the power of Intention is to borrow strength from our creator. Whatever we focus on a constant basis becomes a reality. This statement is especially true whenever we are attuned to the higher levels/states of consciousness. Love, joy, peace, faith are some emotions that may be helpful to us in reaching our dreams.

Moreover, it is by working on all the five major areas of our life, taking care of our physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and financial well-being of our life, that we are likely to realize true happiness and significance in life. This is all about the Great Awakening that we have been discussing on.
